Meta developing always-on smart glasses that record audio and photos continuously

Meta is reportedly developing prototype smart glasses capable of continuously recording audio and capturing photos every few seconds, according to the Financial Times. The device would integrate with Meta AI, allowing wearers to query the collected audio and images. In one proposed design, raw footage and audio would not be stored by Meta or made directly accessible to users. Instead, only metadata derived from the recordings would be retained and processed. The project positions Meta among companies exploring always-on AI wearables.
