Meghalaya High Court Orders Strong Action Over Violence Damaging Vehicles, Endangering Public

The Meghalaya High Court has taken cognisance of recent violence in the state, directing authorities to take strong action. A Division Bench comprising Justices HS Thangkhiew and W Diengdoh presided over the matter. The court noted that government vehicles, police station vehicles, and public transport vehicles had been damaged during the unrest. The bench also highlighted that the safety of ordinary citizens, including school-going children, had been put at risk.
