Manipuri Musician Dies After Being Beaten Outside His Delhi Home

Chongtham Vikram Singh, a 55-year-old Manipuri musician, was fatally assaulted outside his residence in Delhi after he stepped out to confront a group of men causing a disturbance. His family discovered him in a semi-conscious state and rushed him to hospital, where doctors deemed his condition too critical for surgery. Singh passed away from his injuries, and it has since emerged that he was a cousin of the BAFTA-winning director of 'Boong'. Manipuri associations and student groups have taken to the streets demanding justice for the slain musician.
