Maine's Witch Island, once owned by Wall Street figure, is now a wildlife sanctuary

Witch Island in Maine, historically linked to Anna Chittenden — known as the 'Witch of Wall Street' — has been converted into a wildlife sanctuary. Jane Sewall, who purchased the island in 1964 at age 27, took it upon herself to protect the island from irresponsible visitors. In 1986, Sewall donated the island to the Maine Audubon Society. The sanctuary is currently managed by the Coastal Rivers Conservation Trust.
