Maharashtra court orders neighbour to allow repairs after 8-year water leakage dispute

A water leakage dispute between two neighbours in a Maharashtra housing society escalated into a legal battle lasting eight years. The resident of a lower-floor flat had been suffering from persistent water seepage originating from the flat above. The case was taken to court after attempts to resolve the issue failed between the parties. The Maharashtra Co-operative Appellate Court ultimately ruled in favour of the affected resident. The court directed the first-floor flat owner to permit repair work to be carried out inside his unit to fix the problem.
