Maharashtra amends MHADA Act to fast-track Mumbai's dangerous building redevelopment

Thousands of old and unsafe structures across Mumbai are expected to benefit from the expedited redevelopment process. The law also empowers tenants to initiate redevelopment proceedings in cases where landlords fail to take action.
