Lattice Grid Adds Splunk Adapter to Embed Search Results in Custom Apps

A new Splunk adapter for Lattice Grid allows developers to display Splunk search results directly inside their own application's data grid, bypassing the need for iframes or manually built REST API tables. The adapter communicates with Splunk's search REST API, dispatching and managing search jobs dynamically as users filter, sort, or paginate through data. It translates grid operations into SPL queries using the search command form for faster index-level matching, while safely escaping user input to prevent unintended wildcard expansion. The adapter supports three credential-handling strategies depending on the audience of the page, and clearly logs any filter conditions it cannot fully push down to Splunk rather than silently returning broader results. Developers can inspect the last query plan at any time to verify exactly which conditions were handled server-side versus client-side.
