Heavy rainfall caused temporary waterlogging near the terminal and parking area of Noida International Airport. The incident drew widespread online mockery after visuals of the flooded zones circulated on social media. Airport authorities confirmed the situation was resolved within thirty minutes and posed no disruption to operations. The waterlogging occurred less than two months after the airport's inauguration on March 28, 2026. Flight operations and overall airport functioning were not affected by the brief accumulation of rainwater.

India's Direct Tax Collections Jump 23% to Rs 9.55 Lakh Crore by Aug 10

India's gross direct tax collections reached Rs 9.55 lakh crore as of August 10, marking a year-on-year surge of over 23 percent. Net collections after refunds stood at Rs 8.11 lakh crore, driven primarily by non-corporate tax receipts. Corporate tax collections and Securities Transaction Tax also recorded notable growth compared to the same period last year.
