This represents a roughly 71% price increase tied to the festival period. Among India's eight major metros, Kolkata is uniquely seeing mid-October airfares exceed mid-November levels. Notably, the fare spike affects only inbound flights, while tickets for departures out of Kolkata on the same date remain at normal prices.
