Govt denies sensitive data breach at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant

Union Minister Jitendra Singh has refuted reports of a data breach at the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, stating that no nuclear safety or security information was compromised. The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) clarified that the leaked documents pertained only to the plant's conventional Balance of Plant package. The clarification came in response to claims by a ransomware group alleging it had accessed thousands of project-related files from the facility. Authorities emphasized that the core nuclear systems and sensitive operational data remained secure throughout the incident.
