The state plans to rebuild 12,648 deteriorating residential flats spread across twenty project areas under a Rs 2,883 crore initiative. Building approvals will be streamlined through expanded self-certification for residential and small commercial structures, alongside higher local body approval limits. Land-use processes are also set to be digitized as part of the broader administrative overhaul. Additionally, the government will roll out interest relief schemes to ease the financial burden on housing loan borrowers.

Armed Men Attack Manipur Village, Killing 3 and Wounding 4: Kuki Group

A group of approximately 50 heavily armed men allegedly attacked a village in Manipur early in the morning around 8 am. The assault resulted in three people being killed and four others sustaining injuries. The attack has been reported and claimed by a Kuki group.
