Ludhiana hospital, doctors ordered to pay Rs 15 lakh after patient left paralysed

A Ludhiana hospital and two doctors have been held liable for medical negligence by a consumer commission. The commission determined that the medical staff failed to respond with adequate urgency as her condition deteriorated. The hospital and doctors were directed to pay Rs 15 lakh in compensation to the affected patient. The awarded amount will accrue six percent annual interest starting from the date the complaint was filed.
