Supreme Court orders SIT status report in Ram Temple donation theft case

The Supreme Court has directed the Special Investigation Team probing alleged theft of offerings at the Ayodhya Ram Temple to submit a status report within two weeks. The order came as the court was hearing petitions that sought a court-monitored investigation into the matter. The SIT, currently composed of three IPS officers, is handling the case on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government. The state government has also been directed to include a forensic auditor within the investigative team.
