Indian mixed martial arts fighter Suchika Tariyal was eliminated from the Asian Games semifinals after a bout that ended in a draw following an accepted appeal. Under International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) rules, the winner of a drawn contest is determined by the fighters' weight recorded at the morning weigh-in. Her opponent Teo, who weighed 700 grams less than Suchika, advanced to the final on that basis. Suchika has publicly called the decision unfair, expressing her disagreement with how the tiebreaker rule was applied.
