Indian Army to induct 450 Carl Gustaf M4 rocket launchers for infantry upgrade

The Indian Army is set to induct 450 Carl Gustaf M4 rocket launchers to strengthen its infantry combat capabilities. The upgraded system is lighter than its predecessors and is particularly suited for deployment in mountainous terrain. It is designed to function effectively across extreme temperature ranges, from desert conditions to high-altitude frontiers. A range of domestically produced ammunition will support the weapon's versatile battlefield roles. The launchers are being manufactured at India's first foreign-owned defence production facility operating in the country.
