Indian Army adopts extreme cold-weather diesel to boost vehicle ops in Ladakh

The Indian Army has introduced Xtreme Weather Grade (XWG) diesel to support high-altitude military operations in regions like Ladakh. Standard diesel is prone to freezing and filter clogging at sub-zero temperatures, hampering vehicle mobility. XWG diesel remains functional in temperatures as low as minus 42 degrees Celsius, overcoming this limitation. The specialized fuel is intended to improve operational readiness along the Line of Actual Control and Line of Control.
