India Urges Developed Nations to Lead Climate Finance After Nepal Floods

India has called on developed countries to take the lead in cutting emissions and providing financial and technological support to developing nations for climate action. The appeal came alongside India expressing solidarity with Nepal following devastating floods that struck the Himalayan nation. India also pledged support for Nepal's reconstruction efforts in the aftermath of the disaster. Nepal, however, clarified that it was not seeking compensation from India or other major economies. Both countries agreed to work together on addressing the effects of climate change across the Himalayan region.
