India and Uzbekistan forge strategic partnership, eye $5bn trade and uranium deal

India and Uzbekistan have elevated their bilateral relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership in a major diplomatic development. The two nations have set an ambitious annual trade target of five billion dollars. A formal agreement on uranium supply was signed, marking a significant step in energy cooperation between the countries. Both sides also established a foreign minister-level coordination council to strengthen ongoing dialogue. Additionally, eleven memorandums of understanding were signed spanning sectors such as mining and education.
