India calls on world to hold Pakistan accountable for PoK unrest and rights abuses

India has urged the international community to hold Pakistan fully accountable for ongoing unrest in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal accused Islamabad of using excessive force to suppress public dissent in the region. New Delhi alleged that systemic exploitation by Pakistan is the root cause of the protests there. India also raised concerns over human rights violations being committed in the territory. India maintains that Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of Indian territory.
