India targets $1 trillion in exports for FY26 on goods and services growth

India has set an ambitious goal of reaching $1 trillion in total exports during the 2025-26 fiscal year. Union Minister Piyush Goyal confirmed the target, pointing to robust growth across both merchandise and services sectors. The government has outlined a seven-point action plan and recently signed free trade agreements to support the push. A notable rise in defence exports is also contributing to the overall export drive. The target has received strong backing from both industry stakeholders and policymakers.

BJP leader booked for molesting doctor, threatening staff at MP medical college

A BJP leader and his associate have been booked for allegedly molesting a female postgraduate doctor and threatening hospital staff at Bundelkhand Medical College in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The accused allegedly abused staff members and threatened to shoot them, prompting a large-scale protest by medical and nursing personnel. Healthcare workers suspended services and demanded the immediate arrest of the accused along with improved security measures.
