This is a submission for the Hacktoberfest Weekend Challenge: Build for a Friend I built a simple Python Birthday Wisher app for my friends. It checks today's date from birthdays.csv and prints Happy Birthday automatically. It's a Python script, no deployed link. Just run: https://github.com/Poorva516/Birthady_wish-to-Birthday-wisher

I've been quietly building Antigravity Tools — a collection of 59 free, browser-based developer utilities — and today I'm sharing everything I built and learned. The main constraint I set for myself: zero dependencies, zero server, zero telemetry. When you paste your JWT token into jwt.io, it goes to their server. When you use an online regex tester, your test strings are logged. I built Antigravity Tools so every operation runs inside your browser, using native APIs.
A tutorial you wrote last year links to a company's documentation page. Since then, the company redesigned its site, the page moved, and the link now leads to a "404 Not Found." Nobody tells you. Readers just click, hit a dead end, and leave. Old posts are where this piles up. The more you publish, the harder it gets to remember what you linked to.
Every BGSAVE I have ever watched on a busy Redis or Valkey instance does the same thing: the process forks, and for a few seconds the host's free memory drops like someone pulled a plug. Valkey 9.2.0-rc1, tagged on Docker Hub on 16 September, adds a way to skip the fork entirely. I wanted to know what that actually buys you, not what the release notes say it buys you, so I ran both paths against the same dataset and measured what happened. The short version: the memory spike nearly disappeared, and the save got noticeably slower doing it. I pulled valkey/valkey:9.2.0-rc1 and ran two containers
Your coding agent just read your passwords and API keys. Its next request goes to OpenAI or Anthropic. I built a local check so they don't go with it. Lately, every hardware pitch has "local AI" somewhere in it. I use AI heavily in my engineering workflow, so naturally I was intrigued.
