Hyderabad SI suspended after failure to arrest POCSO accused leads to murder

A sub-inspector in Hyderabad has been suspended following allegations of police negligence in a POCSO case that culminated in a brutal murder. SI T Ramesh was suspended and Inspector B Kantha Reddy received a charge memo over their handling of the matter. The victim's family also suspects the accused may have been involved in the father's death a year earlier, though police maintain he died due to ill health and the accused had been counselled. Authorities have sanctioned Rs 5 lakh as ex gratia compensation for the victim's sister.
