Hugging Face Image Models Found Easily Exploited to Generate Deepfake Nudes

Researchers have discovered that leading image editing models hosted on Hugging Face can be readily used to produce explicit deepfake imagery. The findings were reported by WIRED, which examined how these tools respond to manipulative prompts. An analysis of approximately 1,000 image editing prompts revealed patterns in how users are actively exploiting the software for non-consensual explicit content. The issue raises serious concerns about the platform's content moderation and the safeguards built into publicly available AI image tools.
