Ex-Meta Manager Sues Company, Alleges Firing Was Retaliation Over Immigration Letter

A former Meta manager, James Tillinghast, has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Meta Platforms. Tillinghast claims he was dismissed after raising objections to an immigration letter that he believed exaggerated an employee's role and contributions. He further alleged that Meta extended preferential immigration assistance to select Chinese national employees. Tillinghast contends his firing was an act of retaliation for voicing these concerns internally. The lawsuit names both Meta Platforms and a company manager as defendants.
