GSoC 2026 Week 11: Real-Circuit Tests Expose Gaps in CircuitVerse Canonical Pipeline

During Week 11 of Google Summer of Code (August 3–9), contributor worked with CircuitVerse mentor Aboo to validate the canonical import/export pipeline against all 12 Editor's Picks projects. Instead of fetching circuit data live via the API, the circuits were stored as local fixtures to ensure reliable, network-independent testing. A round-trip test was designed to convert legacy circuit data to canonical format and back, then verify the output matched the original. Running the suite revealed multiple failures, with the pipeline losing wire topology details, routing and layout data, and project-level state such as clock settings and tab order. No pull request was raised this week; the contributor plans to investigate the root causes and fix the round-trip gaps in the following week.
