GreatUI Launches Open-Source React Component Library Built with Tailwind and Framer Motion

A developer has publicly launched GreatUI, a curated collection of copy-paste React UI components built using Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion. The project was born after the creator spent a year building custom components and interactive shaders privately, prompted by repeated requests from others wanting access to the code. Unlike traditional UI libraries, GreatUI is not an installable package — users copy the code directly into their own projects and retain full ownership. The collection includes layout components, dark mode transitions, card hover effects, and WebGL shader animations, all with TypeScript support and native light/dark theme compatibility. The project is open-source and available via a dedicated website and GitHub repository.
