Google and Xreal's Aura Glasses Go on Sale at $1,099, Down From Preorder Price

Google and Xreal have released the Aura, a lightweight glasses headset weighing about 95 grams that connects to a tethered Android XR compute puck and supports multiple virtual screens. The device is now on sale for $1,099 through the end of the year, which is $180 less than the $1,279 price Xreal charged for early preorders last month. The Verge's reporting suggests the price cut may be a response to competition from Meta's VR Glasses, which the Aura would otherwise have faced at the higher price. The Aura is noted for having one of the widest fields of view among transparent displays.
