The low-budget biographical film Hanuman Ansh has emerged as a surprise box office success, continuing to perform strongly into its fourth week of release. On its 26th day, the film outearned the bigger-budget production Toxic in terms of total revenue. The film has accumulated an overall domestic collection of Rs 63.82 crore in India. Hanuman Ansh chronicles the life of the widely revered spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba.

The Bombay High Court has ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the death of Disha Salian, former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The court raised serious concerns over Mumbai Police's failure to register an FIR despite the family's allegations of gang rape and murder. Authorities had only filed an Accidental Death Report, which the court found inconsistent with available evidence. The court also noted that copies of the post-mortem report and ADR were withheld from the family for several years.
