GM reverses course, restoring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from 2027

General Motors has decided to bring back Apple CarPlay and Android Auto after previously phasing them out. The features will make their return starting with the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra models. Strong customer demand and feedback were cited as the primary reasons behind this reversal. The updated infotainment system will support both smartphone platforms alongside GM's existing built-in Google apps.
