Global Armies Race to Replace Aging Infantry Fighting Vehicles with Modern Designs

Military forces around the world are actively working to retire Cold War-era infantry fighting vehicles in favour of advanced modern platforms. India's DRDO is developing new armoured vehicles to succeed its ageing Sarath fleet. The United States Army has begun receiving prototypes of the XM30 Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle as part of its modernisation effort. Nations including the UK, Russia, and Germany are similarly upgrading their armoured forces. The new generation of vehicles is designed to deliver improved firepower, crew protection, and battlefield mobility suited to contemporary warfare.
