FSSAI halts Wai Wai maker's production, seizes 32,000 kg over hygiene violations

India's food safety regulator FSSAI has ordered CG Foods India, the maker of Wai Wai noodles, to halt production of its Veg Bhujia Namkeen following a regulatory inspection. Authorities found multiple hygiene violations at the facility, including unlicensed manufacturing of bhujia products. Inspectors also discovered that the company was reprocessing noodles collected from the floor without adequate heat treatment. More than 32,000 kg of stock was seized, and expired finished goods were detained during the action. FSSAI has initiated legal proceedings against CG Foods India for the violations uncovered during the inspection.
