Four European Nations Back India's Permanent UN Security Council Bid

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with counterparts from four European nations in the V4+India format, where they expressed support for India's bid for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council. The meeting marked the first gathering under this diplomatic format, bringing together India and the Visegrád Group countries. The nations agreed to strengthen political ties through annual foreign ministers' meetings going forward. They also committed to deepening economic cooperation, including the establishment of an Annual Business Forum to boost trade and investment links.
