A flydubai Boeing 737 experienced a dramatic rapid descent, dropping 14,300 feet in just 37 seconds, according to data from Flightradar24. The aircraft was cruising at approximately 34,000 feet when the sudden dive began at around 10:51 IST. At its peak rate, the plane was descending at roughly 23,000 feet per minute, nearly approaching supersonic speed. The aircraft leveled out at approximately 15,600 feet before the situation was brought under control. The cause of the sudden descent has not yet been officially disclosed.
