Lingamaneni Sanjush, son of Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh, has been booked by Madhapur police for rash and negligent driving. His Aston Martin allegedly struck 26-year-old Bharati Mukhi, a mall employee, while she was crossing the road near Inorbit Mall on August 16. Sanjush transported the victim to a hospital following the collision, but she did not survive. Alcohol and drug tests conducted on him returned negative results. A case has been registered against him under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing death by negligence.
