Esports World Cup to go global with Paris 2026 move, India qualifiers in sight

The Esports World Cup (EWC) is accelerating its global expansion plans after announcing a 2026 edition in Paris, a city that was not originally on its near-term roadmap. Faisal Bin Homran, chief product officer of the Esports Foundation, confirmed that EWC is now prepared to operate as a rotating international event. Riyadh will continue to serve as the tournament's primary hub even as it ventures into new host cities. The organization also plans to introduce physical qualifying events in key markets around the world, with a potential 'Road to EWC India' initiative under consideration.
