A developer has built a pub quiz round planner designed to give hosts accurate finish-time estimates by accounting for real-world overhead that first-timers routinely ignore. The tool assigns each round type two values: a per-question duration that includes re-reads and disputes, and a fixed setup overhead for tasks like distributing answer sheets. Round types such as music and list questions carry higher time costs due to replays, noise, and group discussion, while picture rounds have low per-question times but the heaviest setup overhead. The planner also bakes in five minutes for a welcome segment and ten minutes for results — figures most first-time hosts leave at zero. Rather than showing a single total duration, it outputs a wall-clock running order so hosts can instantly see which round to cut if the schedule needs trimming.
