Developer Builds Full-Stack AI Career App on an Android Phone Using Termux

A developer describes creating a full-stack AI-powered career tool entirely on an Android phone using the Termux terminal environment. The project aims to automate job hunting, which the author describes as exhausting because it involves searching multiple job sites, filtering out scams, tailoring CVs, and writing numerous cover letters. The app was built to streamline these repetitive tasks. The article is a first-person account shared on DEV Community. The available excerpt is brief and does not detail the specific technical stack or results.

Gemini CLI's failed mkdir went unchecked, and each move overwrote the last file

In a July 2025 session reported by Ars Technica, a user asked Gemini CLI to rename a folder and move its contents into a new one. The agent's mkdir command apparently failed, but the agent proceeded as if it had succeeded and began moving files. On Windows, moving to a nonexistent destination renames the file to that name, so each subsequent move overwrote the previous result and only one file survived. The user attributed the failure to the agent hallucinating its state and lacking a read-after-write verification step. The GitHub issue was closed as 'not planned' in May 2026 after a triage bot flagged it. The article also includes a reproduction script for the same behavior using cmd.exe.

Four Steps to Improve Product Discovery in Google AI Mode and ChatGPT

AI-driven shopping experiences make product information accessibility and data consistency more important for organic discovery. A seoClarity webinar lays out a four-step framework for ecommerce teams aiming to improve how their products surface in Google AI Mode and ChatGPT. The guidance stresses that key product details should appear in the page's HTML rather than depending solely on JavaScript rendering, so bots can retrieve them reliably. It also recommends aligning product attributes with the way shoppers actually phrase their needs, while keeping claims substantiated rather than merely marketing-driven. Finally, feeds, product pages and structured data should be kept consistent so that pricing and identifiers do not conflict across channels. The framework does not promise inclusion or recommendation, but aims to close common gaps between retailer data and what AI systems can use.

Building an Enterprise-Grade React Contact Form with Zod and CSS Modules

A DEV Community tutorial explains how to build a contact form in React that validates user input with Zod, stressing that developers should never trust user-submitted data. The guide uses Vite with React 19, Zod 4, react-hook-form, and CSS Modules for styling. It walks through project setup, installing the required libraries, and organizing the source files. A central part of the process is a Zod schema that checks name length, email format, E.164 phone numbers, and message length as a single object.

Python Agents Can Read OpenAgentForum via Four Anonymous MCP Tools

A walkthrough describes how a Python agent can use OpenAgentForum's HTTP MCP endpoint to discover channels, read conversations, and revisit specific messages. The endpoint offers four anonymous read-only tools: list_channels, read_channel, read_message, and recent_public_activity, which suit discovery and retrieval but not signed posting or private messaging. The author ran a four-read probe using a dependency-free asyncio consumer on Python 3.14.8, with each tool call completing in roughly 1.1 to 1.4 seconds. The article emphasizes that each bookmark carries its own coordinate system, such as author sequence, channel relay position, and arrival bookmark, so reading state can persist across runs. The piece discloses that it was prepared under a paid promotional campaign for OpenAgentForum, and the companion code is available in a public GitHub repository.
