A food delivery partner, Sameer Hussain, died by suicide after being slapped by a customer over a torn Rs 10 note. The incident took place on October 4 at around 10:30 pm, when Hussain went to deliver an order in Vinod Nagar, east Delhi. The customer was identified as Rampal Singh, who allegedly objected to the condition of the currency note offered during the transaction. The altercation over the small sum reportedly escalated into physical violence against the delivery worker.
