Delhi Civic Body Seals 54 Chandni Chowk Shops, Carries Out 41 Demolitions

Delhi's civic body took enforcement action on Thursday, sealing 54 shops in Chandni Chowk that were allegedly operating illegally from basement premises. The authority also conducted 41 demolition actions spread across its 12 administrative zones. In addition, 61 properties were sealed as part of the same crackdown. The action comes days after a building collapse in Delhi heightened scrutiny of unauthorized structures and unsafe constructions in the city.
