CJI Surya Kant Inaugurates Victim Rights Centre in Bihar, Flags Justice Gap

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant inaugurated a Victim Rights Centre (VRC) at the Bihar State Legal Services Authority (BSLSA) premises in Patna. Speaking at the event, he remarked that the judicial system has historically centered its attention on the accused and the offence committed. His comments highlighted a longstanding gap in how victims are treated within the legal framework. The new centre is intended to shift focus toward supporting and protecting the rights of crime victims in Bihar.
