Civic body lists repair works that do not need a building permit

The civic body has clarified that several repair and renovation works can be carried out without prior permission. Works such as painting, flooring and roof repairs are among those covered by the clarification. Property owners are still required to follow building and safety rules while carrying out such work. The clarification aims to tell residents which minor renovations they can undertake without applying for approval.
