The study showed that deeper voices may signal strength and dominance, but they did not raise attractiveness ratings. The team worked with 17 men, deliberately modifying their voices to measure listeners' reactions. The findings suggest that women's judgments of attraction depend more on visual cues than on the sound of a speaker's voice.
