Centre to retain Education Minister despite NEET row, may compensate suicide victims' kin

The Indian central government is unlikely to remove Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan despite growing demands linked to the NEET paper leak controversy. Authorities believe the minister bears no direct responsibility for the alleged examination irregularities. The government is, however, open to providing compensation to families of students who died by suicide in connection with the controversy. Officials have also indicated willingness to engage in dialogue with protesters led by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP). Parliament has been identified as the appropriate platform for addressing and resolving the issue.
