A Kerala consumer commission has ordered Qatar Airways to pay Rs 10 lakh in compensation after the airline denied boarding to two children, including an infant, despite having issued them valid boarding passes. The commission ruled that the airline's actions constituted a deficiency in service and an unfair trade practice. The affected family endured considerable mental distress and hardship as a result of the arbitrary decision. Qatar Airways has been directed to comply with the order within 45 days.
