Canada's Open Federal Registry Lets Developers Build Fresh B2B Lead Feeds via API

Corporations Canada publishes a daily-updated open dataset of all federally incorporated businesses, offering a practical source of high-intent B2B leads. The dataset, available on Canada's Open Government Portal under an open licence, covers active and inactive corporations formed under the Canada Business Corporations Act. Developers can filter records by the 'Anniversary date' field — which permanently reflects a company's original incorporation date — to isolate businesses formed within a recent time window. The bulk CSV file is approximately 100 MB and typically lags real-time incorporations by one to two weeks, but still provides registered office addresses for every listed company. A third-party Apify Actor has also been built to automate the filtering process, allowing users to query new incorporations by province, keyword, and date range without downloading the full dataset.
