Bombay HC cancels bail of Goa nightclub co-owners in fire and forgery cases

The Bombay High Court has revoked bail granted to three co-owners of Birch by Romeo Lane, a Goa nightclub, in connection with a fire and forgery cases. The court directed the accused — the Luthra brothers and Ajay Gupta — to surrender within two weeks, while permitting them to file fresh bail applications. The Maharashtra government had challenged the lower court's decision to grant bail to the trio. Investigators found that the club operated without adequate fire safety measures and housed an illegal structure. The accused had previously denied culpability, attributing the fire to an event management company.
