When do US polling stations close today?

Voters across the United States are heading to the polls, and closing times vary by state and locality. Most polling places shut their doors between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time, though some states stay open later. Voters who are in line at the official closing time are generally still permitted to cast their ballots. Election officials recommend that residents check their state or county election website for exact hours and their assigned polling location.
