The letter was addressed to Margaret Green. It is the first handwritten item by Martha Washington held in the library's collection. Its purchase highlights the important contributions of women in colonial America, complementing the library's existing letters from Mary Todd Lincoln.

Reliance posts record Rs 29,550 crore quarterly profit, up 33.8%

Reliance Industries reported consolidated gross revenue of Rs 3,62,268 crore for FY27. Quarterly profit climbed 33.8% to a record Rs 29,550 crore. The gain was driven mainly by a 67.9% jump in EBITDA from the oil-to-chemicals segment. Retail revenue rose 6.4%, though the sector still faced difficulties. The company spent Rs 38,153 crore on capital expenditure in the quarter, focused chiefly on O2C and new energy.
