CBI Files Case Against Anil Ambani, Reliance Capital Over Alleged LIC Fraud

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered an FIR against Reliance Capital (RCAP) and its former chairman Anil Ambani over alleged investment fraud involving LIC funds. The case was initiated based on a formal written complaint filed by the Life Insurance Corporation of India. Along with Ambani and RCAP, the FIR also names an individual identified as Seth and several unidentified public servants. The complaint alleges financial irregularities in how LIC's investments were handled by Reliance Capital. The CBI is expected to investigate the full extent of the alleged fraud and the roles of all named accused.
