Bengaluru man arrested for murdering 11-month-old daughter, wife absconding

Avalahalli police have arrested a man named Shekhappa in Bengaluru for the murder of his 11-month-old daughter. The couple had initially claimed the infant died after falling from a cot, but investigators found the story did not hold up. Medical examination revealed extensive internal injuries and respiratory failure inconsistent with an accidental fall. The post-mortem findings confirmed the child's death was not accidental. Shekhappa's wife, Vijayalakshmi, remains at large as authorities continue their search.
